Localisation Is One Of The Latest Trends In The Automotive Sector In India. To Reduce Cost And Lead Time, Several Automotive OEMs Are Looking For Local Vendors Who Can Match Their Quality And Provide Timely Delivery. In such a scenario, a trade fair offers all the promotional benefits that a manufacturer looks forward to. In this regard, TAGMA along with TKML organised Tooling Tech Show 2018 on December 20, 2018 at Toyota Kirloskar Motors’ Bidadi facility. President's Message

The Indian tooling industry is growing rapidly with constant double digit growth predicted for the next few years. With companies such as Toyota aiming to significantly increase sourcing from Indian suppliers, the demand for high-end tooling is set to further increase. It was an eye opener for us tool makers to know about the sourcing plans of Toyota. One of the world's largest automotive companies has clearly stated that they are going to significantly increase their sourcing from India. Now the ball is in our court, we need to act now and upgrade ourselves to be prepared for the future requirements. I thank Mr Venkat, Mr Nakamura, Mr Raju and their entire team who worked hard to make this event a reality. In spite of all the challenges in the country, I would say, companies are investing in the latest technologies, upgrading infrastructure, and working on skill development. Also, the world is looking at us to explore business opportunities. Recently, we signed an agreement with Canadian Mould Makers Association (CAMM) to explore Trade, Technology and Investment between India and Canada. We all must embrace this positive change and act accordingly. We should all celebrate this occasion and make the best of it.
